Meet the VERAM Partners

Today we would like to introduce you to three of our eleven VERAM partners. Discover more of what the VERAM project represents for them below. More partners to be presented soon.

Cefic

Cefic
is the voice of the chemical industry in Europe representing large, medium and small chemical companies across Europe, which directly provide 1.2 million jobs and account for 14.7% of world chemical production. Based in Brussels since our founding in 1972, we interact on behalf of our members with international and EU institutions, non-governmental organisations, the international media, and other stakeholders.

Within the VERAM project Cefic represents the channel-to-market meaning representing the needs of multiple value chains that are linked – through the chemical industry – to raw materials. Cefic leads the Communication and Dissemination work package of VERAM and is involved in some of the management and coordination activities of the project.

Rina Consulting

RINA Consulting (formerly D’Appolonia) is the engineering consultancy division of RINA, a global corporation that provides engineering and consultancy services, as well as testing, inspection and certification.

Thanks to the expertise matured in the projects dealing with roadmapping and strategic developments, either for the EU Commission or for private customers, RINA Consulting has a role of support for the development of multiannual strategies.

The operations within the VERAM project are dedicated to the collection and elaboration of data, the support in the organization of public consultations, as well as the analysis and interpretation of the data, in close cooperation with all the other partners.

Universita Politecnica delle Marche 2

Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) is coordinating with Heidelberg Cement the Materials and Sustainability Committee of the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP). Inside the Consortium it represents the ECTP and the building materials manufacturers.

UNIVPM is especially involved in the WP2 “Dissemination and communication”. Being the only University in the project, UNIVPM guarantees the information, diffusion and sharing of VERAM activities, not only for the specialised sectors, but also for the academic world and for the young generations represented by students.

UNIVPM expects to contribute by informing of the outcomes of VERAM and engaging stakeholders belonging to different sectors for better cooperation and collaboration on the future of European Raw Materials.

UNIVPM will support the main outputs of VERAM by focusing research on the main vision, by also providing the technologic transfer to local/national enterprises. Being in the VERAM consortium, it will participate as academic key partner in future follow-up European projects on Raw Materials. UNIVPM will also link ECTP policies in the construction industry with VERAM outputs.
