TECNALIA

Tecnalia is a private, non‐profit technological research centre based in the Basque Country of northern Spain. It was created in 2011 by merging eight research organisations to work towards the common goal of generating and developing business opportunities through applied research.

Tecnalia has established different lines of research covering new materials, waste, energy efficiency in buildings and districts, life cycle assessment and ecodesign, and has significant experience in training and engaging policy makers on the adoption of innovative policies.

In the frame of VERAM, Tecnalia supports the identification and analysis of policies and multi‐stakeholder platforms and formal networks with a focus on raw material supply, and on materials‐related research and innovation.

FNR – Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V

Founded in 1993, FNR (Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V) is the central coordinating institution for research, development and demonstration projects in the field of renewable biological resources in Germany. FNR is an agency under the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) mandated to manage the federal funding programme on Renewable Resources as well as a part of the programme under Energy and Climate Funds. FNR engages in public relations and in cooperation activities at the European and international level. FNR is representing the ERA-NET WoodWisdomNet+ and its successor ForestValue in the VERAM project and facilitates the involvement of stakeholders from the forest-based research sector in the project.
