VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is the leading research and technology company in the Nordic countries. The centre uses its research and knowledge to provide expert services for domestic and international customers and partners, and serves both private and public sectors. VTT has an established role in the raw materials sector, including with the international networks such as EIT Raw Materials and the EIP Raw Materials. Within the VERAM project VTT is mainly working on scenario creation to support the identification of R&D goals, roadmap creation and roadmap preparation work by participating in working groups. In addition, VTT has a role in stakeholder identifying, contacting and the review processes.

Project Management Agency Jülich

The Project Management Agency Jülich is an authorized funding agency acting as a project manager on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and other Ministries. About 1,100 members of staff handle a broad range of topics including the identification of future research topics, the development and management of R&I programmes, the evaluation of funding programmes and the transfer of project results to policy and the public. The work also includes collaboration within European networks, e.g. within the ERA-Net on raw materials ERA-MIN.

The Geological Surveys of Europe – EuroGeoSurveys (EGS)

EuroGeoSurveys (EGS), the Geological Surveys of Europe, is a not-for-profit organisation representing 37 National Geological Surveys and some regional Surveys in Europe, with an overall workforce of several thousand experts. EGS members, the National Geological Surveys, are public sector institutions carrying out operations and research in the field of geosciences.

Within VERAM, EGS mainly provides support for the overall coordination of the project. Crucially however, through EGS, the project can tap into the expertise and experience of Europes leading geologists in the area of mineral resources. In order to promote the VERAM results, EGS also supports communication activities and production of communications materials.
